About Rishav Ghosh
Rishav Ghosh has written and directed over thirty corporate films, another thirty promotional films, and more than ten independent fiction and non-fiction projects; the most notable being Synthetic Sati (2019), available on Hoichoi and Amazon Prime Video, alongside Agamani (2019), streaming on Addatimes. Recognized by Times of India as one of the youngest filmmakers of India, Ghosh's work has premiered at the Jaipur International Film Festival and garnered accolades, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Award for Best Director (Student). A two-time Gold Medallist in academics from both of his universities, Ghosh is a Film Studies post-graduate (Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India) and a Film and Television Production graduate (Amity University, Noida, India). He has also authored two novels: Sanjivaneer Sandhane (2013), and Eighteen Scars (2014). He has worked in Eastern India's biggest media organization, SVF Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., as a Creative Executive of 'New Media' Department, leading and directing the promotional campaigns of blockbuster feature films like Golondaaj (2021). Presently, he is front-lining the business development and leading the 'Film Division' of Power Publishers & Motion Pictures. Ghosh plans to launch Bonbibi Studios, a sustainable-filmmaking organization aimed to discover, incubate, and launch young artists and storytellers from India, Bangladesh, and overseas - to make the next generation of Bengali immersive media content.
